A day in the life of Toma

This is Tomasina, her name is Toma for short.

She has the most lovely nature. Always purring and using her voice to ‘Hi, I’m here, pat me!’ She’s definitely a chatter.

One of the things I love and find a giggle about Toma are her dog-like mannerisms. When I get home after being out she’ll either be waiting at the door or come running down the hallway to greet me. It melts my heart.

Another dog-like attribute she has is circling for food. Whenever I’m cooking she’s in the kitchen under my feet. When I’m eating dinner she’s right there too!

She loves cuddles and if I’m sitting chilling out watching a movie she couldn’t get close enough. Not on me but right up against me. That’s her independence streak coming out.

Her parents, Jac and James told me when we first met that I might prefer to close the door to the back area of the house as Toma has a playful habit of parading around your head at 4 am in the morning. On the first night staying here, she beat me to bed so I thought I’d leave her in the bedroom with me. Well without a minute to spare sure enough at 4 am, on my head she was!!! Needless to say from then on the door has been closed! Bless.

This makes for more fun, as she sits looking eagerly down the hallway each morning patiently awaiting some affection. From there she will nestle between my keyboard and the table whilst I smooch her and pet her and cuddle her until she has enough. Then she’ll either take herself outside to sit in the shady sun or park herself on one of the couches for an early morning siesta.

And thus goes A day in the life of… Toma!
